Léandre Sotiriou - The Disappeared
Background
Léandre Sotiriou is a 31-year-old man, born on July 6, 2076, in Greece. He later moved to Italy upon completing his studies in biology and modern natural philosophy.

As a dedicated man of letters, he seeks the convergence of science and literature to describe the world. Thoughtful and humanistic, most of his childhood was spent at the port of Parga in Greece, under the care of his paternal grandparents. They educated him on various societal aspects, the history of Europe and the world, and the importance of nature in our daily lives. His hometown is ecologically committed, especially since the rise of sea levels began submerging the port of Parga.

From childhood, he enjoyed reading countless pages on his graphic tablet about the evolution of plants, ecosystems, and human beings. Learning from his grandfather that humans are essentially an assembly of star dust fascinated him, prompting him to make physics his profession. Eventually, he delved into library archives, reading works dating back to the 20th century and earlier. Leonardo da Vinci became his "idol," and Italy, his country, became a life goal. Combining romance, humanism, and new progress, the Bay of Napoli is a paradise on Earth for Léandre.

While passionately pursuing his dreams, his parents were still traveling, and he would see them 2 to 3 times a year. In 2088, they were caught in the Robotic Terror incident, and he lost them in a terrorist attack in the United States when he was 12 years old. This abrupt loss left a profound impact, shaping his values and thoughts. Although he loved sciences and new technologies, humanoid robots and artificial intelligences became taboo subjects for him. His humanistic side developed further, and his desire to place all humans at the top of the pyramid, on equal footing, became his ultimate goal and utopia.

Léandre was never close to his parents, but their sudden death affected him deeply, determining his life goal at the age of 12. He aimed to work in Napoli, stabilize the world through philosophy and advanced scientific research—no small feat. Good luck, Léandre!
Finally, in 2099, at the age of 23, he arrived in Napoli, starting directly as a marine biology researcher at the company Biosphera.
Despite his young age, his years of study and various laboratory experiences made him a trustworthy and highly competent individual. Many colleagues and stakeholders said that with him, the future was secure. Beyond the pride he felt in those moments, for Léandre, it was a true message of hope. "Perhaps, finally, we will manage to break this cycle where humanity goes too far and destroys everything," he thought.

Working from 8 am to 7 pm, unwinding in the evening at the beach or Port Felice with a good philosophy book was his way of relaxing. Rather solitary, most of his friends were colleagues or acquaintances. Nevertheless, almost every evening, he would video call his grandfather to show each other the different seashells or algae they found on their respective beaches—one in Greece, the other in Italy.
A Serendipitous Meeting
After several years of working in Napoli and engaging in intimate exchanges with both men and women, Léandre still couldn't find THE person of his dreams. Someone with whom he could spend evenings counting seashells on the beach or prepare cookies while dancing to rock music at 2 in the morning in the kitchen, with neighbors waking up and begging them to stop the noise. Léandre was a bit of a dreamer and full of good intentions.

While attending one of Biosphera's many events, and after one of his lectures, he met Sofia De Rosa, a self-employed scientist and owner of an advanced research laboratory. He felt like she couldn't take her eyes off him—perhaps his tie was poorly tied, or was his lecture too dull? Maybe he was sweating? Too many unnecessary thoughts crossed his mind when, in reality, Sofia had simply fallen head over heels for him.

They spent the evening discussing their respective and shared passions, enchanted by the beautiful lights provided by the bioluminescent jellyfish in the Biosphera conference room. Finally, here was the person he had been longing for. His mind was still troubled by the evening he had just experienced, between the stress of the lecture he had to give in front of numerous innovators and the emotional rollercoaster caused by the young woman.

The two souls didn't want to part, but it was getting late. Léandre wanted to accompany Sofia, but she had come with her friend Marco Livio. Léandre decided not to disturb them further and went his own way, his heart pounding and hands trembling. He was happy and complete, but the first thing that came to his mind was to quickly call his grandfather before he went to bed. "Grandpa, it's done, my lecture went well! And on top of that, I fell for an incredible woman. We have a lot in common, and the chemistry is great!" | "That's fantastic, my boy, you're finally living... You deserve all the happiness in the world! Enjoy your new life! With grandma, we're proud of you..."

Léandre was thrilled, feeling like he was finally being his true self. The rest of their love story is well-known (see here for Sofia's part); they passionately worked like a solid core on a NoTemp'o prototype, with the goal of restoring stability to society and gaining time to propel the world into a sustainable development momentum.
Present and Reality
In the year 2107, Léandre was kidnapped by Federico's henchmen in his apartment in the Via Veneto district. They entered the residence using access codes previously found in the Memoria Archives database. In addition to Léandre, it was by carefully searching every corner of the dwelling and laboratory that Federico's henchmen found the famous research documents of NoTemp'o, as well as one of the first prototypes.

During the events of the game, parallel to Sofia's actions, Federico and Léandre (reluctantly confined to Paradiso Serafino) craft a generator and manage to exploit a temporal rift, a consequence of prolonged use of NoTemp'o...

Initially harboring a deep hatred for Federico, Léandre eventually accepts his fate. He is properly fed and well accommodated in this sumptuous cliffside villa. He can't help but think of Sofia and hope that she is well. Unfortunately, Léandre's days are devoted to helping Federico exploit these temporal rifts, with the aim of finding a healthy and still living version of Katrina, Federico's dying wife.
Léandre has a good heart and succumbs to the sorrow he feels for the man before him, who is losing everything more and more each day.

Ultimately, Sofia will come to his rescue, and perhaps the future of these souls will not be doomed to failure but to hope...
